Well, thank you chaos…I have been waiting to hear his plan…I am so happy that SOMEONE in this world has used his head for more than a hatrack..I imagine he is on the money, is he not?? I certainly hope so…he has the credentials..

As of now, it seems that the US has created a monster…and with it given away our power, because obviously money is power…and we have empowered them, given them an opportunity  to be truculent and arrogant…big mistake…plus the feeding we do through our government programs of aid, so feeding countries that hate us and want to destroy us has already come to bite us in the tush….I wonder often about how much of our country the arabs actually own now – I have heard they own some water or utility companies….between our giving in aide and our business dealings with them, they are collecting big time  and have some control now that we have allowed…we need to take the power back…I sure hope he is on the money..

Yeah, he's on the money…..trail. Lookin to get richer. These plans were around back when he was an oil guy. The big difference now is that the alternatives are finally cost effective and he's got the deep pockets to capitalize. Ah, the American way….greed and opiates for the masses.

Thanks for posting this C4, I always learn from your blog.  I'm glad that a national dialogue on this subject is FINALLY taking place in a meaningful and forward moving way!

The critique seems dead on.  Who's gonna build out Nat'l Gas infrastructure?  Will the saved 300 billion be used to bleed out another non-renewable resource?

Good ol' boy Pickens has seen the writing on the wall for years.  They (oil crowd) all have but kept going any way.   He appears to be trying  to change things but from the paradigm that created this problem in the first place.  This old Dinosaur is still trying to capitalize on his natural gas holdings made from the dinosaurs…can you blame him?  At least he's sees the wind option but he want's to fund it, I'm guessing, with his Nat'l Gas holdings, seems unrealistic…but what do I know really?

I do hope he builds the wind farm regardless of the Natural Gas issue, although, the present electrical grid isn't ready for that either.  With financial and energy crisises looming in this country I wonder what kinds of ingenuity and post-war (WWII) mentalities will emerge?  Time to get really creative…

Hey, T. Boone was one of the major money sponsors for the “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth”, so why would you not trust this guy completely with your energy future?

He who swims in the slime …

Republicans are furious at their longtime benefactor. Senator John McCain is currently running an ad in which he directly blames Barack Obama for $4-a-gallon gas at the pump - as bogus a claim as anything yet made in 2008.

Anybody got a link? I'm ignorant there, aint seen it…..

stew,

here is the McCain “Pump” TV ad. FactCheck.org says it's a full tank of nonsense.

you can watch most of the Obama and McCain campaign ads on their respective Youtube channels.

http://www.youtube.com/user/JohnMcCaindotcom

http://www.youtube.com/barackobama

as you will see the McCain ad focus more on ad hominem attacks rather than the strength of McCain. go figure.
