Satire Trumps Serious Issues

Posted on Jul 18th, 2008 by ~C4Chaos : (hyper)linker ~C4Chaos

A conversation with David Remnick, editor-in-chief of The New Yorker, is now up on Charlie Rose.

I didn't like the cartoon either (who says you have to like a satire?), but it's no big deal. I agree with Jon Stewart's hilarious defense of the cartoon.

For me the bottom line is this: The New Yorker and JibJab satire (funny as they are) got more media hoopla than the real issues that plunged the U.S. into geopolitical chaos.

P.S. Screw the mainstream news media. I'm gonna watch myFORA - http://fora.tv/myfora/c4chaos
