Firefox 3 Feels Like Safari

Posted on Jun 17th, 2008 by ~C4Chaos : (hyper)linker ~C4Chaos

Just downloaded and installed Firefox 3.0. Nice. The first thing Mac users will notice is that Firefox 3.0 looks and feels like Safari. Since I've been using Firefox more than Safari, it would take a while for me to get used to the new interface. But it looks really slick.

Go ahead and download the Firefox 3.0 and help set a Guinness World Record.

You know seems like there is a “browser war” going on in my laptop among IE, AOL browser, Firefox and Flock.  It seems that they are trying to crash each other out, funny I know but that is what I had been experiencing until I settled for Flock.  I could not even open IE, AOL or even Firefox for that matter, they will just shut down everytime I lauch them.  I could not believe that with FF.  I am wondering if Flock (which is Mozilla based too I know) could be causing this?  So I thought threre is a new Firefox which is this FF3.  So I downloaded it and when I launched it, it shut down or crashed.  Everytime I will click on relaunch and it will just crashed and I have I set it to where it will notify Mozilla that this is happening.  I don't know what is going on.  Although I am happy with Flock, if Flock  is causing this and preventing other browser to launch, I am not going to be happy about that.  So I will see.

It is going to take some getting use to.
It seems the text on here is smaller and it changed the colors on things.

The browser is grey, and my blog buttons turn yellow when i hit them.
why?

the text on this message appears like it's cutting off as i type, but Samme's looks ok
as it sits.

Still can't get the news headlines to load

~C4, can I enlarge the text for Gaia somehow in my emails and comments?

Thanks.

thanks for your feedback.

Ladybear, you can easily re-size any web page or text on a web page via the View -> Zoom option on Firefox. give it a try.

~Samme, yeah, it's possible that different browsers are crashing your system. i haven't tried Flock yet so i can't give you an informed opinion. however, my personal preference is Firefox. Gaia is optimized for Firefox too. so i recommend using Firefox on Gaia for a more zippy experience. fortunately, Firefox 3.0 is speedier than the previous version so it would definitely enhance your Gaia experience as well.

to those who have upgraded to Firefox 3.0 please post any issues you encounter on this thread:
