William McDonough, one of the authors of Cradle to Cradle, says that "design is the first signal of human intention." So if we look closely at the current design of everything around us, from vehicles, to factories, to buildings, to stuff we use everyday, it seems like our human intention is too much focused on the short-term benefits and the lure of profits. William McDonough and a few others who are awakened to the interconnectivity of everything are out there to radically inform and transform our collective short-sighted human intention.
Case in point: Check out the following videos. See more McDonough videos here.

The good news: McDonough's ideas are changing the world. The not so good news: the U.S. is very very slow to adapt. If this trend continues China will kick our asses. And rightly so.
