The Present, Future, and Beyond Zaadz

I've just read this cool WIRED article: Build a Web 2.0 Startup! Although the article is a sarcastic parody on startups, I find the diagram to be quite interesting and useful for mapping out a general overview of a web service. So I created this Zaadz Web 2.0 Startup. It's my own picture of what Zaadz is and the possiblity of where Zaadz is headed.

Here are the details of my musings:
MARKET
Reviews -- just look at zBooks and zPages and you will see the possibilities.
Productivity -- zPods and zEvents are just the beginning. Integration with Zaadz instant messaging, and other third-party service (e.g. Skype) is not very hard to imagine.
News -- I see Zaadz News in the near future, that's according to my ~Ubiquitous crystal ball.
Photo -- zPhotos is already evolving.
Dating -- Zaadz Match is on the radar.

HYPED TECH
AJAX + Ruby on Rails -- is a big part of Zaadz's Four Noble Truths of Software Development.
Tagging -- see FAQ: Why Do I Need to Tag My Stuff? That's Too Much Work For Me
RSS -- Zaadz is RSS-enabled all over. Users can subscribe to blogs and pods, and soon books, events, biz, and who knows what else.
Wireless -- Social networks are on its way of becoming mobile. It's not hard to imagine accessing your Zaadz blogs, pods, photos, etc in the near future using your ubiquitous gadgets of choice. In fact, that's how I do my work on Zaadz. My office is a coffeeshop with free wireless access. Ubiquity rocks!
SERVICE
Recommendations -- zBooks is just a start.
Discussion -- zPods and blogs are all about conscious and fun discussions.
Aggregation -- a key component will be tags, RSS, search, and portals. Zaadz partners are cool examples of such portals. see http://wie.zaadz.com and http://flow.zaadz.com
Search -- search functionality is a crucial component of Zaadz. Currently, search is available on pods, and blogs but I see a future where there will be a site-wide Zaadz search that will enable users to easily find content on Zaadz.
Messaging -- I also see Zaadz instant messaging in my ~Ubiquitous crystal ball. Crossing my fingers.
Buying/Selling, Publishing, Entertainment -- will soon be part of Zaadz's vision of sharing the wealth.
ARCHITECTURE
Social Network -- Zaadz is a social network with a purpose.
Community -- Zaadz focus is on meaningful communities online (via zPods) and offline (via Global Zaanghas).
Sharing -- zPods, zBooks, zEvents, zQuotes are all about sharing the wisdom.
Blog -- um, yeah. see: zPod:Kosmic Blogging.
Portal -- Zaadz partners are cool examples of such portals. see http://wie.zaadz.com and http://flow.zaadz.com
Store -- see Zaadz Business Plan for a much bigger picture.
Vodcast -- see http://www.zaadz.com/blog/tags/vodcast for a preview
So that's how I personally see the present and future of Zaadz. However, the map I've shown above only covers the exterior of Zaadz. Zaadz sets apart itself from the rest of the social network out there with its unique approach to meaning and purpose. This makes Zaadz a very deeeep Web 2.0 rabbit hole and then some.

yep, the diagram above only provides a picture of what Zaadz looks like when viewed using the Lower-Right Quardrant lens. i would love an AQAL version too! maybe ~Matthew can do it since he already started a cool essay about this way back in the early days of Zaadz.

…not quite sure exactly what you mean by an “AQAL version.” Like you said, ~C4Chaos, this is an excellent view of Zaadz's LR. And it fits into that area of the article you mention above. I'd be happy to create something further if I could get a little more clarification. Do you mean turn this map into an AQAL map? Do you mean adding the specifics from here into the article I wrote earlier? Do you mean something completely different than either of those choices that somehow “transcludes” the both of them??
yep, turn it into an AQAL map showing the DEPTH and SPAN of Zaadz :) something like this AQAL Overview of the Sixth Wave. i've done the LR only three more quadrants and some levels and lines to go….
