Zaanghas are sprouting everywhere! It's a perfect time for Zaadz Events!
Zaadz Events (aka zEvents) is one of the latest upcoming Zaadz features that will enable Zaadzsters from all over the world to organize any event, anytime, anywhere, such as local Zaanghas.
With zEvents event organizers will be able to enter their upcoming event which will then be posted to our site and searchable by tags, category, and location (region/zip code). Soon, this will also evolve to allow things like yoga teachers/studios adding their class schedules to the site (imagine having EVERY single yoga/aikido/meditation class going on in the world -- at your fingertips!)
Think social networking with a purpose meets meetup.com. Very groovy.
Here's how to add your events:
- Go to http://events.zaadz.com
- Click on Add or just head over directly to http://events.zaadz.com/new
- Fill out all the necessary fields such as Title, Subtitle, Description, Date, Time,
- To add a location, click on Add New Venue, then fill out all the address fields.
- Make sure to tag your events so that people can easily find them! For example, tag it with "Zaangha" for Zaangha events and/or make up your own tags!
- You can also optionally upload an image to your event.
- Finally, be sure to categorize your events so it would be classified and displayed accordingly on the zEvents page, and for easy searching.
That's it! Piece of cake! Now start using this new feature and pimp out your Zaanghas! :)
NOTE: As of this writing the full functionality of zEvents is only available to all Zaadz Ambassadors. Not to worry my dear Zaadzsters, zEvents will be available to every Zaadzster very, very soon!

Help

wicked,
now this is when the real fit starts hitting the shan!
there have been several attempts at linking up the peeps of this particular communitarian wave in the past, and all sadly have failed to launch. (need they be mentioned?)
this is the meat-space bullwhip, yo. this is the one that is going to stick.
because zaadz is sticky.
to quote bill cosby, well kind of………: “zaadz is great - it tastes like chocolate cake.”

further to this, i want to say that i actually decided several days ago, after reading that jessica had become a wizard, that i would be spending the bulk of my “play time’ on the laptop HERE AT ZAADZ.
i have been spending literally hours a day reading a variety of blogs around the net, but do not feel like it is a worthwhile pursuit any longer. i was drawn into this “blog-review” moreso since wyatt earpy pulled his guns, because after laughing my ass right out of the saddle, i wanted to stay abreast with what was going on in the integrally-oriented web-space. the blogs i’ve been reading are not even ncessarily substantially integrally-minded in content themselves, but the commentary was directed at the integral community in general, or k-dub in particular, and i had this deep desire to know everything that was said.
i had this rather retarded (in that it slowed me down) notion that i needed to know everything that was being said out there, good and bad, constructive and deconstructive, in order to see where the pieces fell, and eventually have perceived just how the AQAL-LEGO was going to come back together. i think that i have seen the major building blocks re-set, re-grounded, re-established with the wobbly ones removed, and if not re-moved, then the knowledge of their wobbliness has been acertained. you dig? i surmise that by engaging in this blog exercise, i have been given a clearer context withinin which the cyber-node of myself currently exists. now having obtained this perspective, i am ready to let go.
if i may go a bit further to say that this intuition that i maintain is a feeling somewhat similar to when it was about a year (or two?) into the forums at IN, and everyday i would read every single post in every single thread. i was addicted; but not so much to the content of what i was reading, but to the “claim” that, to my own mind, i was on top of what was going on out there in the world of integral goings-on, which was ultimately ridiculous. pathetic maybe, but i suppose that at the time there was not a whole lot else to grip onto. i was searching for a like-minded community on-line because i didn’t have one available to me in meat-space. so just even reading about how people were reacting to the IN content (or fighting amongst themselves) was sufficient for me to feel like i was a part of something bigger than just the kingdom-of-eric huddled away in a corner re-reading One Taste for the 5th time.
it just came down to the point where i was spending hours a day at something that was no longer providing any tangible result to actually build something upon. instead of feeling connected, i was feeling burned out; instead of feeling charged up, i was experiencing severe drain. it became kinda like reading the newspaper everyday - just a habit, something that was predictable and therefore oddly comfortable. once i truly recognized this strange phenomena, i got freaked out and left.
and i haven’t really been to the IN forums since.

ed - sorry dude, this has become a diary-style comment on the new zEvents thang. but i did need to roll this one out. if you’ve read this far, i love your compassion.

clearly i have recognized this aspect to my behaviour much sooner than the previous episode. i would like to say that i am once again ready to move on from simply surveying the massive stretch of land that is integral, with all of it’s zits and roses, and FINALLY BEGIN TO SEED, CARE FOR AND HARVEST MY OWN FUCKING PLOT OF LAND, RIGHT HERE AT ZAADZ.
now, to get back on topic, with this whole zEvents thing happening, i am feeling like something is coming full circle, but returning to this familiar place with a much wider embrace, from a greater space altogether.
let’s rock this events thing so that eric can meet some new friends in calgary………. woohoo!
word up, word down.
and if i may steal this one from the salomone :
“seacrest out”.

awesome comments and reflections my friend. i definitely agree. i know the feeling since we both go waaay back the early IN days :)
“i had this rather retarded (in that it slowed me down) notion that i needed to know everything that was being said out there, good and bad, constructive and deconstructive, in order to see where the pieces fell, ….”
trust me bro. that's finitely impossible! and even if you can do it. so what? it's just mental masturbation, IMHO. integral foodfights are no longer filing.
we already have an understanding of integral, theoretically, conceptually. now it's high to time apply it. i say let's pause for a while from preaching to the choir and work on and look for actual solutions on all domains that interest us.
so blog on my friend, but don't get lost in the sea of blogs and stupid lemon-eating debates coz you're too good for that :)
