~Friday Five: Physical Pain
:: Friday Five :: Week 10 :: Physical pain ::
How to participate: 1) Join holy memes and kosmic blog starters and check it out every Friday for a different set of five questions. 2) Copy and paste those questions (and this message!) into your blog. 3) Tag your entry with the words “Friday Five” and post it. 4) Come back to the pod and tell us about your post. 5) Message suzanne with ideas for next week. Let's spread the seeds!
1) Why is there physical pain?
Because we have a highly developed nervous system.
2) Do you prefer western or eastern medicine? Why?
I prefer both. I lean towards the more advanced scientific medicine but if I can't afford them I won't hesitate to resort to the cheaper eastern alternative.
3) Describe your own personal experience with pain. Chronic illness? Trips to doctors? Shamans? Hospitals? Accupuncture?
My most painful injury was when I pulled my back on a golf driving range. There was no witch doctor available so I had to be rushed to the nearest hospital where the doctor basically dismissed me ("um, it's just a pulled muscle") and just gave me pain reliever. But it hurt so much I wasn't able to get up for a week. I had to lie down on the floor for days. It still bothers me once in a while especially when it's cold. So pulled muscle my ass! Anyway, the worst part was, I don't even play golf.
4) Have you or someone you know been miraculously healed?
Nope.
5) What is the biggest healing secret you have learned in your life?
Follow your doctor's orders. Think positive. Pray for your healing and for others. "An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure."

I like your answers to numbers two and five. Sorry to hear about the whole number three thing. Don't pull any more muscles… especially in your ass! Here's mine!
Your answers remind me of my own, except for number three. I can relate to that too, though. I had a terrible job at a gas station and while lifting boxes injured my back. I was out for a week and could hardly move because of a 'pulled muscle.' You just don't now how the trunk/back plays into every move you make until you hurt it.
