Be a cunning linguist. English is the “universal” language of the blogosphere. If your goal is to reach as much audience as possible, you just gotta have to learn this obscure language. Know that there are legions out there who blog and read in their own language. So if English is your second language, be proud of where you came from, and occasionally blog in your own native tongue.
I'm posting this for all Zaadzsters and ZPod:KB101 slackers (yes, i' m watching all you slackers out there!). Don't take my word for it. It's enough for me to say that I don't make stuff up (well, most of the time).
If you think that English is the *only* language in the blogosphere, then I pity you. You should get online more. Check out this State of the Blogosphere from the Technorati dude himself,
And while you're at it, from the same article, here's another reason why obsessive-compulsive tagging is healthy. Needless to say, I am sooo right again.
"Tagging, the act of categorizing posts with simple words or phrases, continues to grow, and the number of posts with tags or categories has grown past the 100 Million mark since Technorati began tracking tags in January of 2005."
Whatever.
P.S. ZPod:KB101 slackers and lurkers, shame on you! ang tatamad niyo!

As you can see from this chart, Japanese is supreme! Good thing I've got my moniker written in Japanese too. So there. And while you're at it, from the same article, here's another reason why obsessive-compulsive tagging is healthy. Needless to say, I am sooo right again.
